Behavior Analytic Services

School-based Behaviorists in Florham Park are Board Certified Behavior Analysts and work with students and staff in order to develop and deliver educational services to students who have significant behavioral impediments that prevent them from accessing their educational program and/or students who require highly structured Applied Behavior Analysis instructional approaches.  Additionally, BCBA’s engage in frequent consultation with teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and other related service providers,  complete behavioral observations of both instructional and student variables, develop  of procedural descriptions; develop data collection methods, lead the development of Functional Behavior Assessments and Positive Behavior Support plans, and provide training and leadership to staff.  BCBAs most often participate  in the development and delivery of educational programs related to the treatment of autism and other similar developmental disorders, including programs for teaching verbal behavior, imitation skills, social skills, and instructional control for individual students, as well as classroom management procedures, but also work with children with other social, emotional, or behavioral needs.
