| We hope you’ve had a great summer and are looking forward to the beginning of another school year. Along with the new clothes, new notebooks, new class assignments and new teachers that signal the start of school every September, we hope that you have also arrived with a renewed commitment to personal success, both in and out of the classroom. Students who are successful have a good time in school, but also realize that school is serious business which requires commitment and hard work. Very few students fail because the material presented is too difficult. Critical to success are
these: consistent effort, perseverance, completing assignments, and attending school regularly.
In addition to strong work and study skills, we encourage you to strengthen your character− to develop confidence in who you are, and in your ability to make good decisions on your own and as part of a group. Ask yourself these questions as you consider your actions and words:
| Are you trustworthy? Do you keep your promises and follow through on your commitments? Do you do what’s right even when it’s difficult? |
Are you a fair person? Do you treat people impartially and without prejudice? Do you play by the rules? |
| Are you a respectful person? Do you treat people with civility, courtesy and dignity? |
Are you a caring person? Do you think about how your actions and words will affect others? |
| Are you a personally and socially responsible person?
Are you accountable for your own actions? Do you contribute to the common good? |
Are you a good citizen? Do you do your share to make your school, community and world a better place? |
Make this your best year ever!
Educationally yours, Mark Majeski, Principal
