Welcome to Briarwood School! We are a community that is committed to a positive learning and working environment for all. We hold high expectations for our students and strive to reach each student’s potential.

Currently, we have approximately 350 students and 50 staff members. We have 5 kindergarten classrooms, 5 first grade classrooms and 5 second grade classrooms. We also provide for a preschool and an LLD program at our school. Our class size ranges from 20-24 students. We are committed to being a child-center environment where children are active learners!

My vision for Briarwood is that we will be a place of high expectations for all and collaboratively we promote a community that is dedicated to lifelong learning for all. We will continue to be committed to providing excellence in our instruction for every child as we differentiate to meet the needs of individuals. Students are provided instruction to develop their skills and knowledge through activities in reading, listening, speaking, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, technology, as well as visual and performing arts. Our curricula is aligned to the common core standards. We also monitor student learning through our web-based i-Ready formative assessments in reading and math. Teachers also consistently monitor reading progress with Developmental Reading Assessments (DRAs) during the school year.

Learning at Briarwood School is a partnership, which includes teachers, students, parents and community members that collaboratively focus on developing lifelong learners!
